About Us

UPMC Hillman Cancer Center’s goal is life without cancer and Rush to Crush Cancer’s sole mission is to help achieve this goal with each push of the pedal.

Rush to Crush Cancer was launched in 2022 with the inaugural event taking place in May 2023. This community-centric cycling event has been an aspiration of UPMC Hillman Cancer Center for many years and is now becoming a reality. UPMC Hillman is one of the largest National Cancer Institute (NCI) designated comprehensive cancer center networks in the country with a global presence, spanning from Pittsburgh to Harrisburg, Erie to Western Maryland, and Italy to Ireland. It is time to harness the passion, commitment, and courage of the communities UPMC Hillman serves to make a difference and accelerate cancer research. Rush to Crush Cancer will not only be a fun and uplifting community event promoting wellness and fellowship, but it also will promote cancer prevention, inspire hope, and raise vital funds to support cancer research. We are determined to leave cancer behind, and we are confident that the power of our community will make that destination possible.
